Interesting projects
Power line Bushfire Safety Taskforce - Richard was a member of the Power line Bushfire Safety Taskforce that adopted the precautionary approach to risk consistent with the new WHS Act
Department of Transport Victoria - Various due diligence reviews for the procurement of 50 new low floor trams for Victoria and related program projects for the Department of Transport Victoria
Perilya mine site at Broken Hill - Due diligence review of seismic events at the Perilya mine site to ensure all sensible practicable precautions are in place based on the balance of the significance of the risk verses the effort required to reduce it
Port Control Centre at Bell Bay - Precautionary review for the Port Control Centre against the Centralised Port Control Safety Case Argument dated June 2010.
Transpower New Zealand - Due diligence review of the previously completed risk work for the proposed black start test to demonstrate South Island (SI) restoration capability.

Work Health & Safety Act
- R2A presented multiple workshops in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane covering the new WHS Act.
- Released a highly read Whitepaper and practical case study
- Presented at the Engineers Australia WHS briefings in Brisbane & Sydney.
- Provided private in-house briefings for a number of clients including EnergySafe Victoria, Western Power, Maritime Safety Tasmania and Defence Science & Technology Organisation.
- WHS work continues in 2012 with the introduction of the legislation from 1st January 2012
